Meet The Provider
Nancy Emole, PhD
Hey there! Nancy here! I’m originally from Louisiana where I spent much of my high school free time tutoring elementary & middle school kiddos. Throughout my undergraduate studies at Dillard University (Major: Chemistry; Minor: Mathematics), I had the honor of tutoring a few elementary/middle school children as well as working at a local Elementary school to help students who just needed a little more love & attention to help them learn.
I realized my passion towards education for littles during my graduate years at KUMC (PhD in Toxicology) when I taught English online to little language learners from ages 4 to 14 years old (majority were between ages 4-8) and where I was privileged to mentor high school students/college freshmen in the sciences/research methodologies.
During my last year in grad school, I became Mom. That’s when my research skills really kicked in! —What to do with babies?—How to help babies grow?—What is human development (beyond Anatomy and Physiology)?—How do babies see the world?—What is this thing called “Conscious” Parenting?!?
After graduating, I became a KCKPS Teaching Fellow and learned SO MUCH more about child development/psychology and teaching pedagogies. It was here that I experienced the immense impact a teacher has in the classroom! As you may have heard many teachers say, the REAL joy and fulfilment comes from forming relationships with the students.
It was also here that I realized the impact and importance of having an individualized education and a caring/supportive home and community. Since such is hard to come by, I decided to create such an environment for my kids and the children & parents in my community.
